Swindon & District Bonsai Society,
10th Winter Image Bonsai Show
We have just discovered a Bonsai Show at Swindon (near Reading & Oxford easily reached From Gatwick) on February Sunday 19th. Link and details are below. Very good programme. Nowegian and Ryanair have regular return cheap flights daily to Gatwick.
All interested will find the details from the Chairman’s letter to me below and on the web site at http://swindon-bonsai.co.uk/winter-show/ you are also able to search via the site for photos from previous shows.
The entry fee  is ÂŁ4 [about 4.8 euros] we try and keep the entry costs down so as to encourage visitors. Open 10.30am – 4.30 pm. The venue is on the Abingdon side of Swindon and only about 20 miles from Oxford. There is a map on the web link.
You will see from the web site that Swindon invite about 16 other clubs/societies as well as 7 individual exhibitors, this has been boosted for the 2012 show with a competition of Shohin/Mame and there should be 25 multi tree displays. We also have 14 traders from all over the UK, which isn’t too bad for a club show.
Reg Bolton [ex FoBBs Chairman] and others from the Swindon club regularly display at the ‘Chelsea Flower Show’ so the quality of trees is very good.
